Hi! My name is Leigh and I am the owner of The Lavender Pig. I am also the mother of two very energetic boys and the wife of a farmer and custom cabinet maker. I have been doing some type of craft as far back as I can remember. One day I ran across a basic lotion recipe and I was hooked. Making Lotion and soap quickly became my passion. I have evolved the basic recipe into a hand and body cream that is thick and moisturizing while not leaving you greasy. My children and husband even get in on the act. My oldest helps measure and stir and the youngest can swirl soap better than I can. My husband labels and seals the lip balms and tries to keep me organized. That's probably the hardest job of all. We live on a small farm in Alabama. We have chickens, cows, dogs, cats, and a rabbit. My oldest son wants a penguin, but I'm trying to convince him that Alabama is too hot for penguins. I don't think he believes me since there are penguins at the local zoo. My youngest would like to have a lion. A lion on a farm with cows and chickens? We would quickly become a farm with no cows or chickens.
